August 2024 updates August 14, 2024 |
The flea market booth hasn't done well. I haven't sold any books at all, I think. (I'm not there often; it's more like a consignment store.) I'm not too worried about that because I am looking for people more than trying to sell books. That said, I am going to be writing an article with a title something like "5 God Gifts for Good Works." It simply addresses 5 things that are specifically for good works. In fact, you don't have to read the article: 1. The Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16-17) 2. By faith through grace salvation (Eph. 2:10) 3. Grace (Tit. 2:11-12; Rom. 6:14) 4. The atonement (Tit. 2:13-14) 5. The church/fellowship (Heb. 10:24-25) My article will expound on this, perhaps commenting that it is just for God to judge us by our works since he has equipped us so well to do them (Rom. 2:5-8; 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Pet. 1:17; etc.) Well, there you go. You don't need to read the article. Also, I commented on Facebook about a reel that John Tancock, "The Welsh Apologist," sent me. A lady asks about the requirements to go to heaven, and a street preacher says "perfection" is the requirement. He's wrong. "Patiently continuing to do good" is the requirement (Rom. 2:6-7; Ezek. 18:20-30; Matt. 25:31-46). The Lamb of God had to be perfect, and he was. We just have to patiently continue to do good (see also Gal. 6:7-9). Don't forget you can see my latest articles at Christian-history.org by clicking the "What's New?" button on any page. |
