Church History in Stories, video 1 January 23, 2021 |
I began a series of videos on church history with this one, https://youtu.be/T8-g1g5B3zM, on the subject of apostolic tradition, the importance of the apostles. It was not until the 1400's that Bibles became available for the common person. Until then, the churches had to depend on the leaders the apostles had appointed to faithfully transmit apostolic teaching to them. For a couple hundred years, they did a great job. In future videos we will discuss how bad the changes that began in the fourth century were (or were not). I hope to give you the facts that you can interpret yourselves. In this first video, I put links in the description that will link you right to the quotes from the early church fathers that I put in the video. Paul, Christian-history.org |
